GlobalG.A.P.

The GLOBALG.A.P reference was developed by the major groups of European retailers, in order to give confidence to consumers about how food is obtained by applying a protocol for Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) that producers worldwide can implement to demonstrate the greetings of these good practices.

The GLOBALG.A.P certification applicable to the production unit, covers the whole process of agricultural production from the origin of the plant (seed / propagating material) or providing the animal enters the farm, to the final product not processed.

Advantages of GLOBALG.A.P certification. for producers:
– Ensure access to national and international markets;
– Transmits confidence to consumers and clients;
– Facilitates compliance with relevant legislation;
– Reduces the risk of food safety at the farm;
– Reduces costs related certifications, as is recognized worldwide.

How can I identify certified products?
The GLOBALG.A.P. Standard is a business-to-business certificate and not a consumer label. However, consumers can still verify whether the products they buy are GLOBALG.A.P. certified:

For Fruit & Vegetables:
On the packaging of several products, you can find a 13-digit GLOBALG.A.P. Number (GGN). This number identifies the producer or producer group. As a consumer, you can use it to verify whether the product is from a certified producer or not in the GLOBALG.A.P. Database. Simply enter the number and press ‘submit’.

Retailers also use this number for business-to-business traceability to ensure that products are especially fresh fruit and vegetables–come from a certified origin and that the production is safe and sustainable.

The GLOBALG.A.P. Certification it is now a passport to export and open doors to our products worldwide.
